The Supinator is a dynamic strap-on soft orthotic, that supports the arch of the foot, limits overpronation and actively supinates the foot. This patented device, made from a unique elastomer, has elasto-resistive properties that closely approximate the physical characteristics of human connective tissue, specifically tendons and fascia. The Supinator exerts its beneficial physiologic effect by (a) supporting the arch of the foot as well as shortening the length of the arch of the foot, and (b) eliminating over pronation, thereby doing away with the excessive elongative force and tension at the plantar fascia heel insertion that is causing the problem.

In regards to treating Achilles Tendinitis:

Because the Supinator, in its position on the foot, wraps around the back of the foot, it forms a virtual insertion point for the Achilles tendon that physiologically shortens it. Because of this, the Supinator has been found to be as effective in eliminating Achilles insertional pain as in treating plantar fasciitis.
